I compose each painting using every digital tool at my disposal — light, shadow, and composition are created digitally before the first brushstroke is made. The result is then painted by hand, in a dialogue between various techniques—and each brushstroke inevitably deviates from the original, because pure copying is technically impossible. The process concludes with a deliberately chosen surface sealant that gives each painting its own unique character.
