Valentina Radice
Valentina Radice is a contemporary figurative painter represented by Parcus Gallery, known for her expressive alla prima oil paintings and her mastery of light and composition. A self-taught artist with over 20 years of dedication to the visual arts, she studied privately in both Italy and Germany, refining her skills in figurative drawing, illustration, and painting.
Working primarily with oil paint, Valentina combines brushwork and palette knife techniques to build dynamic textures and immediacy in her compositions. Her plein air practice — painting outdoors, directly from life — is central to her artistic process. Drawing inspiration from street photography and Impressionist techniques, she captures fleeting urban moments with honesty, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
Her approach celebrates the unpredictability of working outdoors: the shifting light, evolving scenery, and ambient energy become part of the artwork itself. Light and composition are the heart of her visual language, transforming everyday scenes into compelling narratives rich in spontaneity and visual rhythm.
In addition to oil, Valentina explores gouache and tempera, further developing her themes through vibrant, compact formats that mirror her signature sensitivity to atmosphere and design.
Her work has been featured in group exhibitions across Milan, Rome, and Genoa, and since 2020, she has been a regular solo participant at ArtMUC Munich, including its Spring 2024 edition and the Kunst im Karree summer fair. Local atelier shows and community-based art events continue to be a vital part of her artistic engagement.
At Parcus Gallery, we are proud to present the work of Valentina Radice — a painter who captures not only the visible world, but also the movement, emotion, and ephemeral beauty of life as it unfolds.
