Paintings
Light and color are exhilarating. Every single object and living creature is caressed by light and transformed by it over the smallest periods of time, revealing the tiniest details, textures, imperfections that make it unique. Light plays a transformative role in the way we perceive and interact with objects, impacting on our senses creating on the one hand, the most interesting shadows and contours and on the other, the cleanest reflections and highlights. Just as light “flirts” with objects by subtly touching its edges I play with it through painting and photography, changing the narrative in a fluid way, shifting, drawing me in, disclosing new and intriguing attributes.
I fell in love with art since I was a little girl. My parents encouraged my interest by taking me to painting classes. I studied a BA in Graphic Design to continue this path and my trail intersected with education when I wrote my Thesis with children. I was captivated by their spontaneity and decided to work in education for many years.
I lived in Dallas Tx. for some years and studied Art and Digital Photography in the Art Institute. This experience reignited the passion and it was then when I decided to devote my time both to photography and to painting.
