Stephanie Bing
Stephanie Bing’s style translates the language of art from our era, portraying a captivating expression of what the future of our past, the 2000s, is. It’s a portrait of ourselves, of what we consume and enjoy. Stephanie Bing manages to transcribe onto her canvases everything that each of us sees as our life in today’s days: it’s impossible not to identify with it, impossible not to want to take a piece of it home.

Born in 1967 in Mannheim, Germany, Bing graduated with distinction from high school in Offenburg. Subsequently, she studied fine arts, painting, photography, art history, German, and literature at Johannes Gutenberg-University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz, again graduating with distinction. Following her education, she worked as an associate professor for the Bavarian Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, and the Bavarian Chamber of Architects until 2002. Bing focused on design, architecture, aesthetic perception and digital media to promote visual literacy.
Stephanie Bing studied painting in the master class of internationally renowned art professor Klaus Jürgen-Fischer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz and photography in the master class of Professor Dr. Vladimir Spacek from Prague. In 2022, she won the international art prize “AWARD VIBES” in Frankfurt with her painting “Prophetia” and got the IIA 2022 Award in Photography and Digital Art as Finalist at Camelback Gallery, Arizona, USA with her stunning photography.
Since 1989 Bing’s art has been presented in national and international exhibitions. Her paintings are listed on international art platform Arte Laguna World. https://artelaguna.world/paintings/interior-gris/
In 2018, she formed her own company #ninibing34, presenting a unique collection of colorful accessories, fashion, and interior design products produced in London. Her stylish goods are shipped worldwide. She operates a gallery and showroom in Korbach, Germany
Bing is married to publisher and journalist Dr. Wilhelm Bing, a recipient of the first-class Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment to private broadcasting and media. Today she lives in Germany and the Balearic Islands, or travels with her husband around the world to gather new inspiration.
Painting: Through her regular stays on the Balearic Islands, in the Caribbean and around the world, she shows us her wide artistic range while being inspired by the bright southern light and color. She metabolizes her experiences, observations, and impressions in interior pictures via a classic perspective. She composes photos, sea creatures, plants, and images from art history into new spatial structures, and achieves a personal style giving rebirth to the classical interior.
Her highly detailed paintings, with their tapestry-like designs, are reminiscent of Matisse, Bonnard, and Fauvism but continue to exuberant expression. Everything in her paintings is playful, ambiguous and multi-layered. She loves variations within a theme and image quotations, interiors with fish, leopards, Chinese porcelain, ceramics, baroque furniture and influences from retro styles. She composes bright, surprising settings like a luxury jewel-box, and assimilate her interiors to unknown sanctuaries with high vibes.
Bing loves rhythmizations and uses complementary colors as challenging accents to make her pictorial themes exciting. Her artwork is much more than an assemblage of colors and patterns to please the eye. Stephanie builds a new environment, which relates to nothing seen before. Her pure aesthetic energy flows out of her pictures and brightens the viewer’s mind with pure buzz and delightful excitement.
She presents contrasts: organic and technical, black and white and brightly colored, large and small, geometric-perspective, freehand drawing, illusion, and collaged reality. From the basic idea of perspective, she develops the layout of the constructed space, which she is literally wallpapering. She over paints her interior compositions with an old master glaze technique, and a structure of shadows and complementary colors to increase the luminosity of her work.
Photography: Stephanie Bing’s photography is mysteriously enchanting. With her eye for every living object and spatial structure, she captures a detailed and precise picture that brings a fresh and intriguing perspective to the world’s reality. As the viewer sees existence in a different light, context or resolution, familiar objects appear as something new. She presents her exciting work from all over the world in landscape, texture, nature close-ups, natural patterns and seaside impressions, which often evoke a vision of Van Gogh’s brushwork.
She lives half the year in Germany and the Balearic Islands, and travels worldwide to gather more brilliant inspiration. Since 1991 her work is shown in national and international art exhibitions.

Stephanie Bing
„Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.“
[Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), founder of analytical psychology]
Contemporary art always represents a relationship to the Absolute. It‘s a constant dialogue with the fascinating world of the artist’s thoughts, and at the same time it is autonomous as art is “for its own sake”, as soon as the artist shares his work with the public.
Since Immanuel Kant declared, the absolute has been a “regulative principle” for theoretical reason for the purpose of “the systematic unity of the world of the senses” (3), the attentive public is offered the opportunity in contemporary art to get to know this absolute, and thus the deepest layers of an artist and his work.
This is in particularly the case with Stephanie Bing, an artist whose creative history offers us the opportunity to understand her extraordinarily expressive poetics.
Born in Mannheim, Germany in 1967, Stephanie Bing had the privilege of growing up in a family where art was an everyday practice. Her mother, a passionate ceramist and her father, academic in profession, but also a painter in his spare time, close to that expressionism which in Germany art history was the progressive avant-garde, expressionism.
The young Bing, with her extraordinary joie de vivre, always in search of her own expression, studied and experimented with an artistic language of colour and form that comes closest to abstract expressionism through its formal synthesis.
Wassily Kandinsky wrote 1912 in his “Spiritual in Art” of that “principle of inner necessity” which still moves Stephanie Bing’s creative instinct today. The young artist’s humanistic and artistic education was underpinned by solid studies that Stephanie Bing acquired at the Offenburg Lyceum, at the Johannes Gutenberg University and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz, where she specialised in the fine arts: from painting to photography and to art history.
Thanks to her scientific art and craft studies and her ability to acquire passion for an ever more pronounced artistic impetus, she was able to work in institutional cooperation with the Bavarian Ministry of Culture as a multiplier of artistic-aesthetic education for adults and young people.
in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. She succeeded to set distinctive focal points in the fields of design, architecture, aesthetic perception, and digital media.
The interaction that took place in Stephanie Bing’s formative years as a student were crucial to her, helping her developing an expressive, unique and decisively aesthetic character, which Professor Klaus Jürgen-Fischer and Dr. Vladimir Spacek have worked out
by continuously questioning her motivation and implementation in painting and photography.
Bing allows herself touching things, being touched by emotions, mixing it all together, mingling, absorbing, imbibing, and metabolising with her own unique and individual aesthetic connotation and manifest solid artistic education.
Energy, rhythm, and contrast, three elements that merge in each of her works, the details of which belong to the world of symbolism, the use of which is given great attention in her works. This is where Stephanie Bing’s art is best expressed because she manages to show and prove to the attentive viewer that none of her works can only be classified as graphic-aesthetic research but offers much more ideas and reflections that go far and deep.
Each of Stephanie’s works is a concentrate of emotions that belong to the depth of the artist’s thinking, each image contains the history, training, and desire to lead through the undeniable beauty of her personal artistic alphabet, an artist’s code worth exploring with the tools that each of us possesses in the depths of our sensibility.
This detail in her bio really is decisive, only those who continue the constant aesthetic examination at this level of reflection, and the capture of artistic techniques as a space of possibilities of means and media, will be able to implement them analytically in the process of design and concrete creation. (4) This important detail in Bing’s vita, to have a constant look beyond the themes and to fill the taught aesthetic power in her personal artistic engagement, is the main difference, where other young artists often stop.
The story of the artist Stephanie moves into another exciting phase in her life after plenty years of teaching art and working when she decided (2005) to travel the world with her husband, journalist, and media entrepreneur Dr. Wilhelm Bing. They travelled almost the entire world and circumnavigated it several times. In these two decades, Stephanie collects emotions, sensations and colours in her sensitive soul, an expressive authentic charge of human and visual experiences that exploded authentically as soon as she resumed her creative activity, after the dramatic loss of her mother.
Since then, Bing never stopped painting, photographing, and composing new works which leave behind the creative experience of her early years. Her work is considered on creating a unique and recognisable style. So, it is no coincidence that since 2000 she started to collect prestigious international awards such as the coveted “Award vibes” Frankfurt, the “IIA 2022 Award in Photography and Digital Art” as finalist at Camelback Gallery, Arizona USA and many more. [see detailed list Awards & Exhibitions]
Today, Stephanie Bing is an international artist who is constantly evolving at high level and who combines expressive lyricism skilfully with distinct sensibility and refined culture. The positive “contamination” of what moves and impresses her every day, between small details and long journeys, between classical culture and contemporary expression in connection with the world of art and design, brings up her art to an unexpected, unique metabolised contemporary art.
Bing allows herself to touch things, being touched by them, mixing it all together, mingling, absorbing, imbibing, and metabolising with her own unique and individual aesthetic connotation and manifest solid artistic education.
Energy, rhythm, and contrast, these three elements merge in each of her works. These details belong to the world of symbolism and achieve great attention in her works. Stephanie Bing’s art is best expressed, while she manages to show and prove to the attentive viewer that none of her works can only be classified as graphic-aesthetic research but offers much more ideas and reflections that go far and deep.
The history of contemporary art teaches daily that each work is to be viewed from different corners, and each of them can fascinate us if we get engaged with them. Stephanie Bing’s works are capable of stimulating interpretations that range from philosophy to art history, from psychology to poetry, thus opening immense panoramas of expression that the artist unravels and decodes for us with extraordinary mastery.
Works in which the symbolic and material layering expresses a level that, on the one hand, reinforces the two-dimensionality, and on the other, through perspectival finesse, projects a depth and spatiality on the canvas that magically draws us into Stephanie’s pictorial spaces.
Space but also time is a crucial element for the reading of Stephanie Bing’s paintings; each of her works undoubtedly requires special attention, the observation time of which can reveal the secrets of their language.
The artist presents her works internationally in collaboration with Parcus Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in the primary art market. It is based in Europe and operates worldwide. Parcus Gallery is looking forward to presenting and exhibiting Bing’s artistic oeuvre in the most important places in the world.
