Elaine Longati
Elaine Longati was born in Brazil in 1978. She graduated in Civil Engineering and has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering.
Art has always been part of his essence since childhood, whether through drawing or music; however, due to the various circumstances of life, some talents remained dormant.
In 2018, she went to an art store to buy a gift for a friend of her son and noticed a sketchbook. She wondered why she had stopped drawing, since that environment seemed so familiar to her.
From that day forward she has never stopped. As a self-taught artist, at first, she devoted herself to learning realistic drawing using graphite and charcoal. In a second moment, she discovered the joy of colors through oil painting. The curtain of the art world opened and discovered different artists and styles.
Elaine divides her work between realistic paintings, based on everyday scenes or botanical beauty, and surrealist compositions full of details and scenes in order to provoke an exercise of observation and discoveries. Her main intention is to translate her perception of the world through visual poetry.
Personal experiences and everyday elements are her main sources of inspiration. She works with the extremes of color, from monochrome to vibrant color, as a way to intensify her emotions.
