For more than 30 years…
Early on, technology and design sparked a special interest in me to preserve things that carry a certain beauty within them.

Many of these things were discarded because they became outdated or were no longer needed. Through curiosity and fascination with what lies inside objects, the idea emerged to present these hidden treasures in a new context and thus preserve them.

Many of these items cost small fortunes when acquired and then turned into scrap, partly because technological advancements progress rapidly. What may seem ancient by today’s standards is sometimes only a few years old.

That’s how I began collecting interesting parts to assemble them into objects and sculptures. Above all, the “dinosaurs of the computer era” radiate their own fascination.

Throughout my career, I have often been led to “peculiar” objects. Sometimes it takes years for an idea to take shape and be realized.

Saved and refurbished, technical parts give rise to a special kind of art that highlights the unique aesthetics of these objects.

A few years ago, I made a fresh start, revising my early works and developing new ideas. Since then, many new objects have emerged, and there are still many ideas waiting to be realized.

Today, I use state-of-the-art tools such as 3D printers, CNC machines, microprocessors, and electronics to bring my ideas to life. An adequately spacious studio facilitates many things.

Friends, colleagues, and family have consistently encouraged me to continue and it is from them that new inspiration often arises.

Thank you to everyone who knowingly or unknowingly contributed to this.

“Your time is limited. Don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

―Steve Jobs, Stanford University Commencement Address, June 12, 2005.
