Three figures overlap in a composition where the boundaries between bodies become almost indistinguishable. The central figure occupies the foreground, while the others remain as presences that accompany and intersect it. In Uprooting, proximity and displacement coexist: the bodies remain together, yet seem to search for a place of their own within a shared territory.
