Yasmina Ouarda Salazar
Yasmina Ouarda Salazar
I was born in Malaga, a bright Mediterranean coastal city in southern Spain. Since I was a child, I have been immersed in the world of art, drawing, writing and painting in a self-taught manner. My style is characterized by being naive and having an intense color, which allows me to create scenes of exquisite landscapes and idyllic corners with a wide range of shades. All creations are the product of my imagination fueled by the reminiscences of my travels.
Artistic Career
Since my childhood, I have had the privilege of participating in various competitions. Some of my most notable exhibitions have been at the U.N.E.D, the National University of Distance Education and at the Museum of History of Melilla in the old town, the Ciudadela, both located in Melilla. These experiences have allowed me to share my art with a wider audience and connect with other artists.
Recognitions and Participations
I have had the honor of participating in the international selection of the Luxembourg Art Prize in 2021, 2022, 2023, and also 2024 when, I exhibited, through on-screen projection for PitturiAmo at the Galerie Thuillier in Paris. Also through on-screen projection of the works, with Artbox Projects, I have had the opportunity to exhibit in European cities such as Palma de Mallorca, Venice, Basel and Zurich.
Publications and Media
My work has been recognized in several publications, such as the magazine “La pluma del tiempo” and “Encima de la niebla”. Last year, I was lucky enough to be interviewed by the local television of Melilla for the program Gente Extraordinaria, where I was able to talk about my passion for art and my pictorial approach.
Through my art, I seek to convey the beauty and magic of the landscapes I imagine, inviting viewers to travel with me through my colors and shapes.
