Representation & Collaboration

The sacred dimension of art

Your Artistic Identity. A Deeply Personal Trust.

Dear Artist, your artistic identity grows from your inner life: your thoughts, feelings, imagination and the concepts through which you give meaning to your experience. It is intimately connected to your sense of self and to what you may understand as your soul.

Your artistic concept may have taken years to discover and give form to. It holds what matters to you, how you see the world and what you feel compelled to express. Inviting another person to understand and speak about it can feel like offering a key to an intimate part of yourself — a key you may rarely, if ever, have entrusted to anyone.

The trust we speak of begins here: in your confidence that a gallerist will listen, seek to understand your artistic personality and respect your intentions when communicating them to others. This is a relationship between people, built around your creativity, thoughts and concepts.

At Parcus Gallery, we believe that confidence must be earned through sensitivity, honest dialogue and consistent actions. We place our own trust in your artistic voice and commitment. Our role is to mediate between you and the observer, helping your creative world be encountered with understanding and respect.

Begin a conversation

01 / Trust & understanding

Understanding your creative world.

Your thoughts and concepts give your artistic language its character. Our creative responsibility as gallerists begins with seeking to understand that language: what it means to you, how it expresses your individuality and how it can be communicated with integrity. Through this relationship, we mediate between your inner world and the observer’s own experience.

Trust grows between artist and gallerist. The gallery connects the artist’s creative world with the observer through understanding, interpretation and dialogue.
The artist shares a personal artistic vision. The gallerist earns the confidence to communicate it and mediates its encounter with the observer. Each person brings an inner life of their own.

Our founder understands the gallerist as a vessel, a messenger and a guardian of the confidence placed in this relationship. We recognise a sacred dimension in creativity because it arises from a person’s inner life. That conviction calls for responsibility in how we listen, understand and communicate.

This conviction welcomes different beliefs and ways of seeing. You may understand creativity through spirituality, philosophy, psychology or the experience of making itself. Our common ground is respect for the person, artistic freedom and the confidence we place in one another.

Allowing someone to engage with your artistic identity can involve vulnerability. Understanding grows through conversation, attentive listening and respect for what you choose to share. Your intentions and independence remain essential throughout our relationship.

02 / The encounter

When your creative world meets the observer.

An observer also brings an inner world: memories, questions, emotions and imagination. Your artistic language can awaken a response within that person, whose interpretation belongs to their own experience. Our task as a gallery is to create thoughtful conditions for this encounter through context, presentation and dialogue.

The artist shares a personal creative language. The gallery mediates its presentation and understanding. The observer brings an independent response. Meaning grows through this human encounter.

What you think, imagine and express can resonate beyond a particular exhibition, place or lifetime. A meaningful relationship between artist and gallerist helps create continuity for that dialogue.

03 / A longer perspective

The market has a place in the journey.

We respect the practical realities of an artistic career. Visibility, sales, collectors, publications and exhibitions matter. They can sustain a practice and extend its reach. Artistic significance also lives in the experiences, questions and connections that your artistic language makes possible.

Parcus Gallery, founded in Berlin in 2017 and now based at Castle Aistersheim in Austria, develops international exhibition, art-fair, editorial and digital projects. These may include gallery exhibitions, Parcus Magazine and opportunities connected with independent contemporary art channel Parcus TV. Opportunities depend on curatorial fit, resources, agreements and each project’s practical conditions.

A relationship between free creative people

Your artistic independence is essential to this relationship. Trust grows through dialogue, clarity, professional care and a willingness to build something meaningful together. Each person brings their own creativity, judgement and responsibility.

Trust grows as we seek to understand your ideas, respect your individuality, explain our interpretations and honour our agreements. It also asks for openness from you: a willingness to share your intentions, communicate and recognise our creative responsibility as mediators.

04 / Philosophy in practice

How collaboration works in practice

Artistic selection comes first. We consider the quality, individuality, coherence and professional presentation of your work, as well as its affinity with our programme. Financial participation does not purchase acceptance.

Clear participation

Our representation model involves artist participation in agreed costs and activities through Membership Plans. The duration, prices, included services and any additional project expenses are explained before commitment.

Freedom of commission

Parcus Gallery does not impose a predetermined gallery commission. When a sale occurs, you decide what commission to allocate to the Gallery. This can be decided individually after each sale, subject to the signed agreement.

Informed choices

Invitations to individual fairs or projects may involve separate costs, including space, transport, insurance or installation. Conditions are presented in advance. Participation is optional unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Honest expectations

Public prices take account of your existing market, career and objectives. We inform you when a sale is concluded. No gallery can guarantee sales or recognition, and we will not promise what we cannot control.

A personal word

The confidence you place in us.

I understand the confidence you place in a gallerist as permission to approach a deeply personal world: your artistic identity, thoughts, concepts and creativity. I must earn that confidence by listening and seeking to understand, and honour it through my own judgement, dedication and creativity as a mediator between you and the observer.

Your trust calls for understanding. Our responsibility is to help your creative voice reach another person.
